Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication with residents and team; patient and professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: dispense prescribed PO, topical and rectal meds per orders and policy.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions or status changes.
• Document all medication administration accurately.
• Maintain medication cart safety and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
