Qualifications

• Texas Medication Aide certification required.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and a patient-focused, professional demeanor.
• Pays close attention to detail and ensures accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PO, topical, and rectal medications per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and changes in resident status and report promptly.
• Document all medication administration accurately in line with policies.
• Maintain a secure medication cart and a safe, hazard-free environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Immediately report medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
