Job summary

Willow Ridge Memory Care is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team in North Carolina. You will administer medications, monitor residents’ health, and support the nursing staff in delivering compassionate care with attention to safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a state-approved Medication Aide program, and at least 1 year in a healthcare or senior living setting. CPR/First Aid is preferred and a background screen is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare/senior living or long-term care experience preferred.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: prepare, administer, and document medications per orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: observe and report changes; measure vitals when needed.
• Resident Engagement: build relationships and encourage wellness activities.
• Safety & Compliance: follow infection control, keep carts/records organized, assist in emergencies.
