Job summary

Sun Terrace Hermiston, a retirement and assisted living community, is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as medication aides. You will assist residents with daily well-being, personal services, medication support, and social activities, reporting to the wellness director.

Typical candidates have six months of senior caregiving or medication pass experience. CPR/BLS certification can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• CPR/BLS certification can be obtained.
• Compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs.
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly.
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.
