Job summary

The Gardens of Nashville is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team in Nashville, NC. You will safely administer medications, monitor resident health, and support nursing staff while ensuring residents receive compassionate, dignified care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, state-approved Medication Aide training, and at least 1 year in healthcare or long-term care. CPR/First Aid preferred; background check and drug screening required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care preferred.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' health status; measure vital signs as needed.
• Resident Engagement: Build compassionate relationships and encourage participation in wellness activities.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control procedures and maintain organized medication carts and records.
