Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Medication Aide to administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy. The Medication Aide provides care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, meal services and other duties and services as assigned within the community.

Opportunities for full-time or part-time hours. Available shifts: evenings, nights, or rotating.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant or Qualified Medication Administration Person per state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Has strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates abilities to work as a team.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and programs.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy.
• Provide care to residents including activities of daily living and support to the nursing department.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, consultants, residents and families to promote well-being.
• Assist in housekeeping, laundry, meal services and other duties as assigned within the community.
