Job summary

Elm Crest Senior Living Community in Harlan, IA is seeking a Medication Aide/Manager to administer medications and limited topical treatments to residents under the supervision of the Assisted Living Director. Full-time evenings or PRN days and nights are available, with shift differential and holiday pay.

You will support residents’ daily living activities, monitor changes in condition, and report to clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Required: 18 years of age or older.
• Required: Iowa Medication Manager Certification or Iowa Certified Medication Aide certification.
• Able to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
• Preferred: 1 year of healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care experience.
• Experience giving medications in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

• Give residents their medications and limited topical treatments, under the supervision of the Assisted Living Director.
• Help residents with daily activities based on their individual care plans.
• Watch residents for changes in condition and report them to clinical staff.
• Support residents’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
• Follow Iowa’s medication management rules and Elm Crest’s care policies.
