Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes.
• Current certification and listing on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older; under 18 allowed only with CNA license where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per facility policy.
• Record and restock medication inventories and process discontinued meds as directed by DON.
• Measure and record vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP).
• Observe resident behavior and report changes to supervisor.
• Complete necessary forms and reports in a descriptive manner.
• Report errors in medication administration.
• Review and follow a written care plan.
• Assist with resident care as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.
