Job summary

Meadowview Assisted Living Center in Smithfield, NC 27577, is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Shifts available: 7:00a–3:00p, 3:00p–11:00p, 11:00p–7:00a, with full-time or part-time options and wage of $16.00–$18.00 per hour. Benefits include PTO, health options, 401K, and tuition opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides.
• Ensure administration follows established nursing standards, community policies, procedures, and state requirements.
• Document and communicate care and medication activities in the electronic health record system.
