Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid state Driver's License
• Minimum 5 years of safe driving experience
• DOT Physical and driver training adherence
• CPR certification
• Able to move participants in a wheelchair
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible team player with reliability
• Ability to push and lift patients in emergencies

Responsibilities

• Transports participants around the community and to medical appointments.
• Assists participants to and from the van for pickups and drop-offs.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and safety through preventative measures.
• Notifies supervisors of incidents, injuries or accidents.
• Identifies participant needs in collaboration with Supervisors.
• Removes snow around vans to ensure safety and operation.
• Supports Day Care Center Staff with local activities when needed.
• Occasionally wears respirator and meets fit test requirements.
