Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks an Ambulette Driver for the Jewish Hospital to provide non-emergency transport for ambulatory and wheelchair patients across healthcare destinations.

You will follow all driving laws, maintain the unit, assist patients into/out of facilities, and perform CPR/First Aid as needed. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required, with DOT physical and CPR/First Aid prerequisites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• DOT physical certificate and CPR with First Aid required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to and from scheduled destinations per healthcare service needs.
• Operate ambulette in compliance with road laws and hospital policies; keep vehicle clean and well-maintained.
• Assist patients entering/exiting facility or residence and guide passenger activities from arrival to drop-off.
• Perform CPR and/or basic first-aid as needed and alert dispatch or emergency services as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and participate in staff meetings to stay updated on policies.
