Job summary

Arizona Community Physicians (ACP) is seeking qualified Medical Assistants to provide skilled and compassionate clinical support across our Tucson, Green Valley, and Oro Valley locations. A Medical Assistant Certificate is required to join ACP.

You will verify patient information, prepare patients for examinations, maintain confidentiality, and handle clerical duties to support smooth patient flow and high-quality care. ACP offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved program is required.
Lab experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
Prepares patients for examination with prelim tests such as BP, weight, and temperature; reports history.
Secures patient information and maintains confidentiality of records and coding.
Completes specimen labeling, referrals, documentation, ordering of supplies and meds, and waivers.
Maintains organized system for callbacks and follow-through.
Records patient concerns, triage calls, and medication refills in the medical record.
Reviews schedules and medical records to anticipate issues with patient flow.
