Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care across Florida locations. You will prepare patients, take histories and vitals, assist with exams, injections, and lab testing while delivering a welcoming, efficient patient experience.

The role requires 1+ year of clinical experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and completion of an approved Medical Assisting program. BLS within 30 days is required; AAMA certification is helpful.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting program (BOTP) is required.
• AAMA certification is helpful.
• Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening certificates within 30 days of start preferred.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs.
• Assist physicians in applying splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and work place injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners.
• Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned Area preferred.
