Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care in Florida is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care and operate in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with injections and phlebotomy, and maintain exam rooms and supplies.

Travel between MD Now locations within the assigned area is preferred. The ideal candidate has a clinical background, familiarity with EHR systems, and is capable of obtaining required certifications within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (BOTP) required
• AAMA certification helpful
• Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening within 30 days of start preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and supplies, including sterilization.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referrals to physicians/practitioners.
