You will interview patients, record vital signs, prepare examination and procedure rooms, assist with treatments, and collect specimens while maintaining sterile fields and clear communication with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

• Assist licensed provider in clinic and surgical settings.
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care and accurate documentation.
• Interview patients to obtain information and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Obtain consent forms before treatment.
• Assist with injections and sutures under physician direction.
• Prepare and administer medications per orders and safety protocols.
• Collect blood, tissue or other specimens and log for testing.
• Explain procedures and care instructions to patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during exams and treatments.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Prepare patients for physician with room and equipment readiness.
• Record medical history and test results in medical records.
• Obtain proper consent prior to treatments.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physician.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens for testing.
• Explain procedures, medications, diets, and wound care to patients.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including instrument handling.
• Authorize drug refills under Provider direction and communicate with pharmacies.
• Maintain clean and stocked treatment rooms and sterile fields.
• Document all procedures accurately and timely.
• Respond to medical emergencies per policies and procedures.
