Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Medical Assistant for the DMC Grand River Health Center in Detroit. The role provides direct nursing care in a medical office, supports physicians, and maintains a clean, safe environment according to clinic policies.

You'll contribute to patient comfort and efficient clinic operations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalent experience, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalent work experience.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under physician supervision.
• Take vital signs and health history; assess chief complaint.
• Administer medications as prescribed and perform injections.
• Complete documentation in the medical record per charting policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures and exams.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment and stock supplies.
