Job summary

TEEMA Group seeks a Medical Assistant (Primary Care & Float) to support an outpatient clinic focused on a frail and elderly population. The role combines clinical and administrative duties under supervision to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years MA experience, a two-year MA program accreditation, current MA and BLS certs, and strong communication and organizational skills for a team-based setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting serving a frail or elderly population.
• Graduate of a two-year Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Current Medical Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff in delivering efficient and high-quality patient care.
• Prepare patients for appointments: room setup, check-in/out, and collect histories.
• Perform pre-exam procedures: vital signs documentation and reporting.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures within scope of practice.
• Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens as ordered.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control practices.
• Triage and support unscheduled provider visits as directed.
• Document care and educate patients as appropriate.
• Support specialty and float workflows, coordinating schedules and patient prep.
