Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited school or one year MA experience in a medical practice.
• Current certification or ability to obtain CMA/AMT/NAHP/NCCT/NCMA/CCMA within one year.
• CPR certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including vital signs, procedures and treatments under supervision of a licensed Physician and Practice Manager.
• Perform assigned clerical duties and participate in department education and quality improvement programs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional image; adhere to Florida Health Care Plans policies and scope of education.
