Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited school or one year previous Medical Assistant experience in a medical practice required.
• Current certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment through CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NRCMA (NAHP), NCMA (NCCT), or CCMA (NHA) required.
• Current Professional Rescuer CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross) or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment required.
• Ability to provide care as evidenced by schooling or experience for patient as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care including vital signs, procedures and treatments under supervision of a licensed physician and Practice Manager.
• Performs assigned clerical duties and maintains department education and quality improvement programs.
• Demonstrates professional and caring image while maintaining patient confidentiality.
