Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification within one week of hire (AHA & ARC accepted).
• Experience in a healthcare setting and electronic health records preferred.
• English language proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and typing required.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 15 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Accepts assignments for patient care within scope of preparation and standards.
• Assists in data gathering for assessment, planning and evaluation of care.
• Collaborates with the team to support patient goals.
• Obtains vital signs and documents in the electronic health record.
• Performs routine tests (EKG, vision/hearing screening) and specimen collection.
• Participates in patient education initiatives and quality improvement.
• Handles routine administrative tasks and supports patient flow.
