Qualifications

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by the CAAHP or ABHES.
• Must obtain CMA, RMA, NCMA, CMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NPCE MA within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, surgeries, and provide pre- and post-surgery information.
• Coordinate patient charts, test results, and plan of care with timely communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards and Trinity Health policies.
• Assist in training and supporting new colleagues and cross-coverage as needed.
