Thundermist Health Center seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a busy clinic. You will greet patients, take vitals, prep exam rooms, and assist providers during procedures, while managing documentation and administrative tasks.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care in service of health equity across the community. Training and collaboration with a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, or equivalent work experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Strong organizational skills and computer literacy.
• Technical skills for clinical tasks (vital signs, ECGs, injections, patient prep).
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist providers with procedures.
• Document patient information and manage administrative tasks.
• Monitor schedules, correct booking errors, and communicate with care team.
• Maintain equipment and inventory, including supplies and sterilization.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance and proper charting.
