Job summary

Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis seeks a Medical Assistant II to provide patient care across age groups, support exams, collect specimens, and assist clinicians in a fast-paced clinic. You will perform routine screenings, document findings, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience; CPR certification; preferred MA program graduate and TB Education certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required and 2 years of experience required.
• Graduation from an education program for the medical assistant preferred.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR preferred).
• Current TB Education certification is preferred.
• PRIMARY CARE ONLY - may be required to travel to other health center locations for continuity of operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe patient/clinic environment; adheres to safety standards.
• Demonstrates effective communication using medical terminology.
• Documents findings legibly and timely in the medical record.
• Performs patient care, adjusts activities to age-related needs (pediatric to geriatric).
• Collects and processes lab specimens, performs routine screenings and EKGs.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures; administers medications per orders.
• Maintains supplies, schedules appointments, and supports clinic flow.
