Job summary

Eskenazi Health seeks a Medical Assistant II to provide patient care across age groups within the Eskenazi Health Center network in Indianapolis. You will support physicians with exams, phlebotomy, EKGs, and routine screenings, while maintaining safety and efficient clinic flow.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience; graduation from a MA program is preferred, and CPR certification is desirable. Some travel to other centers may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required and 2 years of experience required.
• Graduation from an education program for the Medical Assistant preferred.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Current TB Education certification preferred.
• Primary care coverage may require travel to other health center locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe patient/clinic environment and follows safety standards.
• Demonstrates clear communication using medical terminology with patients.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists with routine screening tests.
• Interviews patients, records history, and documents findings legibly.
• Collects specimens, performs point-of-care testing, and administers medications as ordered.
• Schedules appointments and helps maintain clinic flow.
