Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in North Port, FL is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support both front office and clinical teams. You’ll welcome patients, assist with check-in, intake, exams, basic tests, and ensure a smooth visit while upholding high standards of patient-centered care.

You will help manage rooming, documentation, and clinic flow, collaborating with providers to anticipate needs and overcome workflow barriers. Strong teamwork and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA certification or registration required.
• 4–6 years of medical assistant, clinical support, or ambulatory care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; knowledge of ambulatory clinical workflows and infection prevention.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, clinical messaging, and care-team coordination tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient rooming, intake, visit preparation, and clinical documentation workflows.
• Anticipate provider needs, coordinate procedure preparation, and resolve workflow barriers.
• Perform and document point-of-care testing, specimen handling, and medication support.
• Review patient charts, care gaps, and readiness information for efficient encounters.
• Support quality improvement projects, care gap outreach, and documentation updates.
• Provide guidance to newer staff on clinical procedures and EHR workflows.
