Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in North Port, Florida, seeks a friendly Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support front office and clinical teams and ensure patient-centered care. You will welcome patients, assist with check-in, and help with intake, exams, procedures, and basic tests to keep visits smooth and comfortable.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CMA/RMA certification, 4–6 years of MA/clinical support experience, and proficiency with electronic health record systems to support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4-6 years of medical assistant, clinical support, or ambulatory care experience.
• CMA, RMA or equivalent Medical Assistant certification or registration required.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred; ambulatory clinical support workflows knowledge.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, clinical messaging, documentation workflows, and care team coordination tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient rooming, intake, visit preparation, and clinical documentation workflows for routine and non-routine visits.
• Support complex clinic flow by anticipating provider needs and coordinating procedure preparation.
• Perform and document point-of-care testing, specimen handling, medication support, and clinical tasks with accuracy.
• Review patient charts and visit readiness information to support efficient encounters and timely follow-up.
• Support quality improvement projects and care gap outreach within clinical protocols.
• Provide guidance to newer staff on clinical procedures and EHR workflows.
• Investigate and resolve non-routine clinical support issues affecting patient flow.
