Qualifications

• Obtains medical history and triages patients.
• Records vitals accurately in the EHR.
• Assists physician with exams and minor procedures.

Responsabilités

• Obtains medical history, triage patients, record vitals
• Reconciles medication list in EHR
• Responds timely and appropriately to tasks
• Reports abnormal results to physician immediately
• Ensures all patient information is scanned into EHR
• Assists physician in exam room (suture/staple removal, dressing changes)
• Schedules surgeries/tests or hospital admissions
• Codes diagnoses and procedures for insurance authorizations
• Explains surgical procedures to patients and families
• Maintains physician’s surgery schedules
• Answers multi-line phone system and triages calls
• Registers patients and collects paperwork and copayments
• Maintains clean exam rooms
• Completes KASPER query for medications
• Completes school/work statements and FMLA paperwork
• Schedules follow-up appointments
• Orders office supplies and maintains waiting area
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
