Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Technical Medical Assistant training is preferred.
• 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience is required.
• HEARTSAVER certification by the American Heart Association is required.
• NCCT Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Preferred: CMA/NCCT or MA certifications (NHA/AMT/AAMA) are valued.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assists patients during visits and accompanies them to the exam room.
• Schedule appointments, perform clinical and clerical tasks, and manage forms.
• Record patient data such as vitals and medical history and maintain data accuracy.
• Assist with physical exam prep and basic wound care per provider direction.
• Perform EKGs, suture removal, dressing changes, and specimen collection for labs.
• Administer medications and immunizations under supervision and provide education.
