Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide front-line patient care in a clinic setting. You will assist during visits, collect vitals, and support diagnostic imaging, lab callbacks, and medication administration under physician supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of Medical Assistant experience, and certification such as HEARTSAVER and NCCT.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to begin the patient visit with eye contact, greeting and using the patient’s name.
• Proficient navigation of the EMR with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients throughout the visit; accompany to exam/procedure room.
• Handle scheduling, imaging, lab calls, prior authorizations and paperwork.
• Record patient data including vitals and medical history.
• Assist with examining preparations and wound care per physician instruction.
• Perform EKGs, dressings, and specimen collection for lab analysis.
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Provide patient education under supervision.
