Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Baytown, TX seeks a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care, handling administrative duties plus patient support onsite. You will work under the Center Administrator and report to the Manager, Clinic/Center Administration.

The role requires MA certification (CMA/RMA), valid CPR, 1+ year MA experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. Competitive benefits and 40-hour work weeks are offered.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or RMA certification from a recognized body.
• MA school/training completion or 5+ years MA experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year MA experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist providers with procedures.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medication under provider direction.
• Document accurately in the EHR/EMR systems, including HEDIS/Stars measures.
