Job summary

Sanitas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative operations in our Houston-area clinics. The role includes patient care, preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting providers with procedures under supervision.

The CMA will manage medical records, scheduling, and basic billing tasks while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality patient interactions across diverse settings. The position is on-site with up to 5% travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare.
• Active CMA or RMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and vital signs under supervision.
• Perform venipuncture, injections, and vaccines per LIP orders.
• Administer medications within scope of practice.
• Medical records entry and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Manage appointment scheduling and pre-visit planning.
• Support billing, coding, and insurance claims processing as guided.
