Southwest Women's Oncology/Optimum in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Registered or nationally certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
• Current BLS certification; venipuncture certification required if applicable to the role.
• Proficiency with clinical equipment including EKG machines, glucometers, pulse oximeters.
• Experience with medical software and EMR/practice management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, escort to exam rooms, and establish a warm environment.
• Perform and document vital signs, patient histories, and pre-visit assessments.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with procedures and clinical tasks.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the clinical team.
• Communicate effectively with the care team regarding patient status and needs.
