Job summary

North Shore Associates, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their growing medical team at Wilmette and Glenview locations.

You will enter patient histories, prepare exam rooms, and assist in exams and procedures while maintaining accurate documentation and patient education. OBGYN experience is a plus; CCMA and a Medical Assistant certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred).
• Bachelor's degree (Preferred).
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR system(s) and medical terminology is required.
• Previous experience at an OBGYN office (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient"s health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record.
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up diagnostic and/or treatment equipment.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete documentation pertaining to patient"s medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness.
• May perform Scribe duties.
• Assist the physician as directed.
• Must work well in a team environment.
