Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the care team in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare patients for visits, perform preventive tasks, and assist with in-office testing and vaccines, while maintaining Mercy's compassionate care standards.

The role involves coordinating with providers, entering data in Epic, and ensuring care gaps are closed. A high school diploma and BLS within 90 days are required, with CMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire required or preferred.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification with BLS within 90 days for CMA track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for visit: chief complaint, vitals, history, allergies, med reconciliation.
• Assist with in-office testing (EKG, blood draws, point-of-care tests).
• Administer vaccines within scope of practice.
• Schedule follow-ups per policy and coordinate care with the team.
