Mercy seeks a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support physicians and office staff. You will prepare patients, take vitals, document histories, and assist with in-office testing and vaccines, delivering compassionate care aligned with Mercy values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of clinical healthcare experience preferred.
• Active MA certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) preferred for certified MA path.
• LPN license may be considered in the LPN option path.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits using standard rooming process and document chief complaints.
• Take vitals, review history and allergies, complete medication reconciliation.
• Perform in-office tests: blood draws, EKGs, and oxygen studies; administer vaccines.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and collaborate with providers on care plans.
