Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Singing River Cancer Center in Ocean Springs. The MA will support clinical and administrative tasks under physician supervision and coordinate with PAs, NPs, and RNs to manage patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma and MA program completion; CMA or RMA certification is preferred. Prior patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience in registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical and administrative tasks under physician supervision and with intermediary staff (PA/NP/RN).
• Assist front office personnel as directed by the Practice/Office Manager.
• Maintain patient flow and accurate documentation according to clinic policies.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and professional standards during patient care.
