Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare training.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EClinical Works or similar EMR experience.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measuring vital signs and medical history.
• Assist PCP during appointments and coordinate care with the team.
• Process patient phone messages and relay information to physicians.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures under supervision.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and proper documentation.
• Provide health coaching and follow up with coached patients.
