St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant for full-time, on-site support in Kentucky. This role provides clinical support to physicians, prepares patients for exams, and ensures HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate care to every patient.

• Prepares patient for exam and records vital signs, weight, history and meds.
• Performs basic clinical tasks under provider direction (venipuncture, injections, EKGs).
• Documents findings and patient responses to interventions.
• Maintains supplies, cleans exam rooms, and reports equipment issues.
• Supports referrals, intake forms, scheduling and pre-certification as needed.
• Complies with OSHA/CLIA and HIPAA regulations in daily duties.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for exam and acquires vital signs, weight, general history, and current medication list when required.
• Provides patient care and clinical support to provider during exam, including acupuncture needle removal, application of stimulator, needle count, venipuncture, injections, and EKGs.
• Documents all clinical findings and patient response to interventions, i.e., history, medications, vital signs, weight, and testing results.
• Collects and provides to the provider the completed Laboratory/test findings Intake Form, and physician referral information, Diagnostic Imaging, or Cardiopulmonary test results as they are available.
• Provides instruction to patients under the direction of the provider.
• Maintains adequate level of supplies in exam rooms and work station. Cleans and disinfects exam rooms. Reports malfunction of equipment to department supervisor.
• Provides assistance to Clerical Coordinator/Registrar as needed. Assists with completion of referral process, outpatient testing, pre-certification and scheduling.
• Timely and accurate collection/distribution of all patient information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
