Job summary

Wichita Urology Group in Wichita, KS is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support nursing staff and clinicians in a busy urology practice. The role emphasizes accurate vital signs, EMR documentation, patient education, and smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of healthcare experience, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• BLS Certification required.
• Comfortable navigating EMRs, multi-line phone systems, and standard office equipment.
• Excellent communication, calm under pressure, and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures, assist providers as needed.
• Collect medical history, current concerns, and vital signs accurately.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and readiness for procedures.
• Handle calls, take messages, and process prescriptions under provider direction.
• Keep charge tickets accurate and up-to-date.
