Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• BLS Certification required.
• Comfortable navigating EMRs, multi-line phone systems, and everyday office equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, calm and compassionate under pressure.
• Flexible but focused; adheres to clinical procedures and pivots when needed.
• Skilled in taking vital signs across age ranges.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures and assist providers as needed.
• Collect medical history, current concerns, and vital signs.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Handle calls, take messages, and call in prescriptions under provider direction.
• Maintain accurate charge tickets and EMR documentation.
• Explain instructions to patients and provide clear guidance from providers.
• Create a welcoming environment through compassionate communication.
• Coordinate provider schedules and patient flow.
• Assist with medications, DME, and in-office dispensing tasks as needed.
