Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with patients and colleagues.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire and ongoing compliance.
• Willingness to obtain listed certifications within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under providers’ direction.
• Coordinate schedules for procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries.
• Educate patients and families on discharge plans and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new colleagues.
• Document plans of care, tests, and exam results in the medical record.
