Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, and coordinate care between patients and providers.

You will also administer medications, communicate results, educate patients, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within a day shift, full-time role that supports Southeast Michigan communities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of MA program and MA externship/internship or equivalent.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program or Paramedic program or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• MA eligibility with certification preferred; active Michigan EMT/Paramedic license acceptable.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
