Qualifications

• Twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience may be accepted.
• Current Medical Assistant certification is acceptable.
• If MA certification is not held, obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer telephone calls and screen referrals.
