Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited MA program, BLS certification, and 2 years of MA experience. This on-site position involves patient care, phlebotomy tasks, and basic clerical support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA course completion certification preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a current certification in BLS.
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• PC skills and medical terminology reading/writing required.
• Able to work all shifts and assist in various clinic areas.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in the waiting area and escorts to discharge counter.
• Obtains patient history, records vitals, and updates patient chart.
• Explains procedures and prepares exam room for provider.
• Positions instruments and assists provider; sterilizes equipment.
• Administers injections, draws blood, and assists with procedures.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests and handles specimen processing.
• Assists with registrations and other clerical duties as needed.
• Performs patient callbacks, referrals, and follow-up scheduling.
