Job summary

Qualifications

• CMA/RMA certification path implied by role (CMA/RMA)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes including vitals and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, wound care and tests.
• Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection per policy.
• Prepare, label and process lab samples and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols across clinical areas.
• Support patient triage, care coordination and transitions.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans and preventive care.
• Document clinical data and provider instructions in the EHR.
• Schedule and track appointments, referrals and test results.
• Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations and coding.
