Job summary

Mosaic Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the primary care team with rooming, medication reconciliation, and coordinating care during visits. The MA will assist with patient education and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.

The role includes in-office testing such as EKG, phlebotomy, and hearing/vision tests, as well as preparation of exam rooms and specimen handling. CPR certification is required within twelve months of hire.

Qualifications

• Accredited medical assistant certification required within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit chart scrub (EMR): referrals, medications, immunizations, allergies, labs, preventive care needs.
• Medication, immunization, and allergy reconciliation.
• Rooming the patient (in person or remote for MA II/III) with vitals and care reconciling.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and vaccines.
• Assist with clinical procedures.
• Review plan of care and AVS with patient.
• Address patient encounters via electronic health records.
• Conduct clinical services: EKG, pulse oximetry, hearing/vision testing, venipuncture.
