Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech/CMA) to provide compassionate, direct care and assist residents with medication administration and activities of daily living. You will work within a team to follow personalized care plans, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being for residents in our communities.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid medication administration license (CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP) or state equivalents, and current First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid state medication administration license (CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP) or meet state requirements for medication administration in assisted living.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration, according to the care plan.
• Follow documentation protocols and report resident status changes.
• Assist in managing medication inventory and storage, and coordinate re-orders with pharmacies as necessary.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living in a team setting.
• Prioritize independence and provide emotional support through engagement and companionship.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activity programs.
• Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
