Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation is seeking a Medication Technician to ensure safe administration of prescribed medications and provide personal and general nursing care to residents. You will handle MAR/TAR, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, dining, and daily activities while maintaining accurate records and adhering to policies and regulatory guidelines.

The role includes daily medication cart management, weekly cart cleaning, and participation in staff trainings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living per regulations.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel before accepting medication keys.
• Order medications and treatments from pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is 7 days or more.
• Notify supervisor when supply is <2 days and medicine hasn’t been received.
• Verify all medicines against MAR; notify pharmacy and DHW of discrepancies.
• Store medications properly and keep lotions/ointments separate from oral meds.
• Date vials/bottles at opening and follow pharmacy protocol.
