Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Computer skills: Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Communicate in a respectful and professional manner with residents, families, co-workers and leadership staff at the community

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders and document completion
• Provide compassionate care per residents’ service plans
• Bathing, grooming, dressing, dining assistance and mobility support
• Wheelchair and walking escorts
• Meal, activity and medication reminder assistance
• Answers to resident call signals promptly
• Review eMAR each shift for timely medications and treatments
• Observe and report resident changes to Wellness Leadership Team
• Order/re-order medications to maintain adequate supply
• Complete daily charting, documentation, and reporting
• Obtain resident weights and vitals
• Participate in training new employees as requested
• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, work areas and common spaces
• Assist with meal setup and cleanup as needed
• Support Life Enrichment activities and encourage resident participation
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors
• Remain awake and alert during shift
• Perform other duties within scope as required
