Job summary

Aventura at WestPark Assisted Living is seeking a dependable Medication Technician to correctly administer prescribed medications and support residents with daily activities. You will collaborate with nursing staff to maintain a safe, respectful living environment and ensure accurate records.

Qualified candidates meet Ohio requirements for Medication Technician, have prior assisted living experience if possible, and hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must meet Ohio state requirements for Medication Technician/Medication Aide.
• Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach to care.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Accurately document medication administration and report any errors or concerns.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report findings to the nurse or supervisor.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and mobility as needed.
• Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in a clean and organized manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and team members.

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medication Technician to join our assisted living team.
